Joshua's Journey: Day 43

Joshua was moved to a different room in the NICU last night because he's now considered a stable baby. I'm so proud of that boy! While most babies are chilling in their mama's womb (where I would advise them to stay) he's learning to breath, regulate his temp and I'm sure other stuff too! Rumor has it that he hit the big 4 lb mark tonight. I need a bit more convincing, but I will let you know for sure tomorrow. If it's true that will be the most he's gained in a single day, by far! I was able to hold him again today, and as always, it was a blast! He still has an issue of dropping his oxygen level while I am holding him. I think some of it is just the machine reading weird, but I think some of it is him too!

Specifics to pray for:

That Joshua will keep his stats up. He will keep the oxygenation level in the high 90's-100

That Joshua will continue to excel at breathing on his own. He's done great, but continue to pray he does even better.

He will feed well when the time comes! Be a natural at sucking, swallowing, and breathing all at the same time.

Blessings and wisdom upon the NICU staff.

God will be glorified through all this!
