Joshua's Journey: Day 39

I walked into Joshua's room today and lifted up his blanket on his isolet and to my surprise he had clothes on! Yeah!!! I can't wait to take his own clothes up there for him to wear. He looked so cute! He was doing about the same as yesterday, which is good. He's still on 3 lpm's and his oxygenation and everything looks good. He had one episode when I was holding him, but he came right back up on his own. I didn't get to go back tonight, but hopefully he gained some weight. I had a bit of an experience changing his diaper before I left. I ended up changing it four times before we actually were able to get a clean one on, and even then I am not so sure it stayed clean long. So, he's pooping well:)

Maddy and I went to Derek's companies crawfish boil and had a good time. I can't wait til next year when Joshua will be there too and it won't be on our anniversary:) I can't believe it's already been 5 years, but it's been great! I love you more today than I did yesterday, Derek French! You make me strive to be a better wife, a better mother andall that God has called me to be! I am glad to be doing this journey with you!

Specifics to pray for:

That Joshua will continue to oxygenate and breath well. That he will be able to handle his reflux without dropping his heart rate or just be done with reflux altogether.

He will continue to eat well and gain weight.

They will be able to get him off a the machines quickly and he will be able to breath great all on his own!

For God to be glorified and for us to figure out how we can love on others around us who are going through the same thing.

Blessings and wisdom for the NICU staff.

Joshua's little friend Jaxon was able to go home yesterday, so that is definitely a praise!
