Joshua's Journey: Day 27

Today has been a great day! Both Derek and I were able to hold him and he's gained another oz, which puts him at 2 lbs 13 oz! With all this great news there is always an opportunity to forget how far God has brought us and how thankful we should be for what He has done. I keep thinking about the Israelites and how they saw God do so many great things, miracles, then so quickly went back to their old ways and complaining. I don't want to be like that. I want to remember and be thankful!!! So, the two words that keep coming to my mind are NEVER FORGET! Joshua has overcome a lot in these first 28 days but He has done none of it on his own.  God has been his strength and ours through this time. Thank you Lord for all the great things you have already done in Joshua's life and for the amazing friends and family that are here to support and pray for us all along the way. This journey isn't Joshua's alone, it's ours to learn from and grow, and my prayer is that God will teach us all how to glorify Him more and NEVER FORGET what He has brought us through to allow us to draw closer to Him.

Specifics to pray for:

That he will continue to oxygenate well, have fewer episodes and be able to get on the vapotherm as quickly as possible, but when ready!

The oxygen that he is getting has a potential of damaging his eyes, please pray that his eyes fully develop and the oxygen does not harm them.

For his brain scan this week to come back normal and for his brain to continue developing like it's supposed to.

That his lungs will continue to grow and will be able to work more and more on their own without tiring out.

Blessing and wisdom for the NICU staff as they take care of all the babies.

That all if us will NEVER FORGET what God has done in our lives and we will be changed people because of it. May God be glorified!
